Fox Sparrow Study

To my mind, the Fox Sparrow is perhaps the most handsome of the sparrow tribe; even portrayed in black and white as is done here. A bit larger than most sparrows, and dressed in bold patterns of rust and white, they make such a fine display that I am inspired anew every spring and fall as they migrate through our area.
