The west coast of Vancouver Island is known for its old growth forests and long stretches of white sands. There are many paths and trails in the woods, and even elevated boardwalks that will take you through some of the oldest and largest recorded trees in British Columbia. this particular scene is from the Ancient Cedars Trail, known for its giant red cedars, sitka spruce and western hemlock. Some of the Red Cedars are over 800 years old and measure over 40 feet around their base.
