Rocks and Rhythm

This painting depicts the Deschutes River, which runs through Bend, Oregon where I live. With its sparkling clear water, plentiful rocks, and areas of turbulent rapids, it makes for an exciting painting subject that has been the focus of many of my paintings over the past several years. This piece was painted in the studio soon after painting several studies on location along this river.
