Lungarno delle Grazie

This is a Florence cityscape, specifically the view of a section of buildings along the Arno River. It was painted on a bright November day (this year) and it is a humble attempt at capturing the glorious light of this city. In the center left, where a majestic exotic palm stands is the Renaissance Bombicci-Pontelli Palace, today the headquarters of the Florence University of Arts. On the right hand side the terracotta coloured structure is part of the National Library of Florence. The water level in the river was low, but still reflecting the buildings above.
