Choose Joy

I was struck by the joy on my older niece's face as she held her long-awaited baby sister. Her parents had just about given up on having a second child when this little blondie came along. The background was done from imagination as I tried to represent the beautiful light that surrounded them. Painted in the midst of the pandemic lockdown, I personally chose to focus on joyful moments rather that the dark elements of our current health crisis --- hence the title: Choose Joy.
